The classic 2.55 reissue flap is the first classic flap made by Coco Chanel. Hailed by enthusiasts, it's released season after season, first made in 1955. It is called the "reissue" because Karl Lagerfeld released the model again in 2005, 50 years after its inception by Gabrielle Chanel.
The bag comes deliberately folded/creased at the bottom and in aged calfskin with aged hardware. Interior is lined in lambskin, and has a double flap.
Bijoux chain is intricately etched and can be worn double or single strap. Interior features two compartments.
Boutique Patina specializes in sourcing and curating the best condition preowned vintage Chanel leather treasures by searching closets around the world.
We notice that most reissue flaps on the preowned market have a lot of creasing, especially towards the bottom edges. We try very hard to source ones without creasing and are in the most well-preserved condition. Please note the differences in the photos.
